The Series 11 uses the optical heart sensor to watch for signs of chronic high blood pressure over thirty-day windows, and it received FDA clearance shortly after announcement, which matters because roughly half the people who have hypertension do not know it. Battery life went to 24 hours, the first increase Apple has given the standard Watch since 2015, when 18 hours became the number everybody complained about. 5G arrived on the cellular models. Ion-X glass on the aluminum cases is now twice as scratch resistant. It is a quiet generation carrying one health feature with a genuinely large number of people on the other end of it.
