The thinnest Apple Watch at 9.7mm, with a wide-angle display, depth and water temperature sensors, and FDA-cleared sleep apnea detection.
Released September 20, 2024 · Discontinued September 19, 2025 · From $399 (42mm GPS)

Thinner, for the anniversary. The Series 10 is 9.7mm against the Series 9's 10.7, with a wide-angle OLED panel that stays readable from an angle and refreshes once a second in always-on mode so the seconds hand actually moves. The screen grew again, to 42 and 46mm. Depth and water temperature sensors came down from the Ultra, making this the first standard Watch that works as a shallow dive computer. Sleep apnea detection arrived through the accelerometer, watching for breathing disturbances overnight, and it went on to get FDA clearance. Charging is faster, reaching 80 percent in about half an hour.
Scored 90 out of 100. Reviewers found the thinner case the first that reads as an accessory rather than a gadget, and told Series 8 and 9 owners to stay put.
For a smartwatch that has consistently been called the best in its class, the Series 10 largely continues that tradition, even as it walks back a feature or two thanks to ongoing copyright litigation.
And it's still the best for any iPhone owner.
