5.64mm thick, the thinnest iPhone Apple has made. One camera, one speaker, and Apple's own C1X modem to make the power budget work.
Released September 19, 2025 · From $999 (256 GB, unlocked)

The Air is 5.6mm thick, which is the entire pitch. Apple built a 6.5-inch titanium-framed iPhone thinner than anything it has made and accepted the compromises that come with it: one 48-megapixel camera instead of three, a 3149 mAh battery, and a single speaker. It replaced the Plus in the lineup at $999. Apple's own C1X modem and the N1 wireless chip are both in here, which is how the power budget works at this thickness. Reviewers split fairly cleanly between people who found it remarkable to hold and people who pointed out that a 17 Pro does more for the same money. Both are right.
At 5.6mm the Air was judged on style and portability, against fewer cameras and a smaller battery.
It's sleek, it's fast and it's wildly stylish in a way that both fashionistas and people who just like packing light can appreciate.
As long as you don't mind the lack of extra lenses, for those who appreciate a powerful but still eminently effervescent mobile companion, the iPhone Air is in another stratosphere.
