The largest battery Apple has put in an iPhone at 5088 mAh and 39 hours of video, and the first 2 TB configuration.
Released September 19, 2025 · From $1,199 (256 GB, unlocked)

The 17 Pro Max carries the largest battery Apple has ever put in an iPhone at 5088 mAh, quoted at 39 hours of video, which is the kind of number that changes how you use a phone. The rest matches the 17 Pro: aluminum unibody, vapor chamber cooling, three 48-megapixel cameras, 8x telephoto reach, the A19 Pro and a 6.9-inch ProMotion display at 3000 nits outdoors. Apple also sells a 2TB configuration for the first time. It weighs 233 grams. Nobody buying one is surprised by that.
Reviewed with the 17 Pro; the larger battery and the same camera set separated it only by size.
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are a significant update from previous models, and I haven't felt this excited by a new generation of iPhones in a very long time.
It might burn up your wallet, since the $1,099 price is certainly not something everyone can afford, but it does buy some security and longevity.
