iPad mini (A17 Pro)

Apple Intelligence, and little else. An A17 Pro replaces the A15, bringing the Neural Engine Apple requires for its on-device AI features, and storage doubles to 128GB at the same $499. Everything else is the 2021 mini, down to the 8.3-inch display and the Touch ID button. Apple Pencil Pro support arrived, which brings squeeze, barrel roll and haptic feedback to a tablet most people use for reading. The jelly scroll that reviewers argued about on the sixth generation is still here, because the display controller works the same way.
