iPad Air (3rd generation)

The Air name came back. It sat between the cheap iPad and the Pro: a 10.5-inch laminated display with True Tone and P3 color, the A12 Bionic, Apple Pencil support and the Smart Keyboard connector, at $499. Against the Pro it gave up ProMotion, Face ID, USB-C and the second camera, and against the base iPad it offered a considerably better screen with roughly twice the processing power. This is the shape Apple has repeated ever since, which is last year's Pro ideas at this year's mid-range price.
