iPad (11th generation)

The A16 and 128 GB of base storage at $349. No Apple Intelligence, which Apple reserved for the M-series iPads.

Released March 12, 2025 · From $349 (128 GB, Wi-Fi)

iPad (11th generation)

The cheap iPad, updated quietly. An A16 chip replaces the A14, base storage doubles to 128GB, and the price stays at $349. That storage change matters more than the processor for anyone buying an iPad for a child or a classroom, because 64GB had stopped being enough some years earlier. Everything else carries over from the tenth generation: the 11-inch Liquid Retina display, Touch ID in the top button, USB-C, the landscape front camera. It does not run Apple Intelligence, which Apple reserved for the M-series iPads, and for the audience buying an iPad at this price that is unlikely to be the deciding factor.

Reviews & Reception

More speed and storage, no Apple Intelligence, and a price that kept it the default cheap tablet.

It's not the most delightful iPad, but it's good enough for the masses.

If you're upgrading from a 9th-gen iPad or older, buying for a kid or just looking for a competent slate you won't use for hours every day, it should be plenty of tablet for your needs.
